Lady & the Carpenter Giveaway

Have you ever found an artisan who makes the most amazing, quality items? A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to get my hands on some handcrafted clothespins, that were not only a MUCH better quality then the cheapy pins you find at the store, but were beautiful! And this folks, is how I came to know about Lady & the Carpenter. They are a small family who handcrafts and sells their very own brand of clothespin, Kevin's Quality Clothespins.

I know, right now you are looking at the photo to the right and saying to yourself, "Those are not clothespins." And you’re right! And that is why I am so excited! The Lady & the Carpenter, have an all new product…. French Style Rolling Pins!

These beautiful rolling pins come in 14” and 20” lengths and are made out of solid Maple wood. And let me just tell you, these babies are so pretty. I love the natural grain of the wood and they are so smooth in the palm of your hand! Maybe I am weird, oh who are we kidding, we all know I am, but I'm serious, just look how pretty that grain is!

Each rolling pin is hand-turned from solid Maple. The tapered "handle" design makes rolling dough a breeze. I also love the fact that no food particles can get into the pin as can happen sometimes with the American style pin I used to use. Notice I said USED to use, that's because I really prefer this French style pin.

When I asked the Lady & the Carpenter to be part of this year's Spring Fling with their beautiful rolling pins, they said sure, but why not offer the winner a choice of prizes. I like how they think! I mean not everyone likes to bake. So you get to choice either a rolling pin or 3 sets of their clothespins. Either way you go, you are going to LOVE their products.

Kevin's Quality Clothespins are head and shoulders above the pins you are used to. From the moment you hold them in your hand and compare them to the “cheapy” pins, you can feel the weight of them (in a good way.) They open so much nicer and have a grip to them when you put them on the line. And they don’t wiggle at the spring area as you use them. You can SEE the difference when you look at them side by side. Seriously, take a peek.....

These heavy-duty clothespins are made out of locally supplied Maple wood. The springs are made of stainless steel (so they will never rust) and in a heavier gauge of wire then "cheapy" pins. The finished clothespins are coated with Linseed Oil (which doesn't bleed or stain onto your clothing)  to help them resist weathering. The pins measure 3 1/2 inches and open 1/2″. Not only are these pins built better then the cheap pins, they are breathtaking! Yes, I am talking about a clothespin. Unlike the “cheapy” pins, these things are eye candy. You could tell they are handcrafted and quality!

So there ya have it folks, an amazing family who makes quality, hand-crafted, wooden rolling pins and clothespins! I love that even their kids help making the clothespins. Oh and they have OTHER products too! You're curious now, aren't you? You can check out all their products in their shop. AND they have been kind enough to offer a 10% discount to all of you through May 15th when you use the code 10SpFling2016.

You can connect with the Lady & the Carpenter over on their Facebook page. Why not pop over and say thank you to them for their generosity in sponsoring this great giveaway! I know it would mean the world to them.

  7. I would pick the French Rolling Pin but not because I don't like clothespins - I already purchased Lady and the Carpenter clothespins and love them! This is a great giveaway and someone will be lucky to receive either choice.

  13. The rolling pin is beautiful, but I inherited my mom's wood rolling pin. I'd have to go with the clothespins as I love how heavy duty they are. Supporting small businesses who handcraft their items is wonderful, so I'm thrilled to learn about this business. :)

  22. Ahh, the Spring Fling Event I've been waiting for!! I love the craftsmanship of The Lady & The Carpenter, but I'm so excited to see a rolling pin!! There's a very high likelihood that I'll be ordering one in the very near future :)

  23. I'm an avid cook (that hates doing laundry), so, of course, the rolling pin!

  24. As much as I'd love to be able to bake well enough to choose the rolling pin, I don't. I do however have a dryer that won't dry and have entered the world of hanging clothes to dry, so I'd choose the clothes pins. It would be awesome to have some that don't break so easy!

  26. I would get the clothes pins. I have some and they are great!

  27. Pins - I love to cook but the only clothing pins I could get my hands on are weak. I stopped hanging my clothes out to dry due to not being able to trust them when the wind gets to blow. More than once I had to gather the clothes from out of the garden and re-wash them.

  28. Hard to pick. I have rolling pins but my clothespins are cheap so I think I would pick the clothespins.
