Sadly, we also had a lose here on the homestead. The oldest country kid's pet quail became ill and passed very quickly. There was nothing I could do to save her, but his response was one of compassion and deep love. While our hearts hurt for her lose, my heart swelled knowing my son has developed such wonderful qualities.
So I went through my photos and picked out a few from the past couple weeks that in some way made me smile. I hope you enjoy them.
I was so proud of my oldest for wanting to make this headstone for his beloved pet.
When the weather turns chilly, it's time to bake up an apple pie!
Someone was "helping" me with the laundry. I love taking a break! LOL

Ms. Buffy getting ready for bedtime.
Lizzy the homeschool lizard is growing like crazy.
Realizing frost is ice, and he loves ice.... lick, lick, lick, ugh!

There are three ducks in this explosion. LOL
