Being the commando baker that I am, I of course just throw everything into the bowl and mix it up. I don't have time for fancy recipes that say dry ingredients here, cream that there, or combine these items separate. No sir, not in my recipes! Just dump everything in the same bowl and mix it up! You get less dishes that way too. *wink*
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
After I have all the ingredients combined in my mixer, I dump it into a greased 9"x13" pan. You will notice that this dough is, well, thick! Simply press it into the pan evenly with the palms of your hands. Come on, get in there and have some fun!
I baked these lovely peanut butter cookie bars at 350 degrees for around 30 minutes. Since everyone's oven bakes a little different, you will know they are down when the sides pull away from the pan and darken.
I hope you enjoy these super easy to make cookie bars as much as my hubby and country kids do!
