Chubby Mealworms Giveaway

Despite the recent movement by many chicken and egg producing companies to provide vegetarian fed chicken and eggs..... chickens are anything BUT vegetarians! Protein is a very important part of their nutritional needs. Our birds free range and nibble up all the insects they want, but there is something about mealworms that just make them loose their minds! I swear mealworms do to chickens, what cat nip does to cats!

As you may already know, we have a mealworm farm. Yes, we raise our own mealworms in order to provide a little extra protein to our poultry as a treat. I just could no longer stomach paying $4 for 100 mealworms at the pet store.  But I know many of you are a lot like my hubby and would prefer NOT to raise your own mealworms. And that is why I am so happy that today's Spring Fling Giveaway is for a 5 lb bag of mealworms from Chubby Mealworms!

Dried mealworms!?!? Would my girls go for them the way they went for the live ones? There was only one way to tell.... take Chubby Mealworms for a test drive. So that is exactly what I did.

I re-hydrated a handful of mealworms with hot water and watched them puff back up. I highly recomend that when you feed dried mealworms as a treat to either provide access to an ample water supply or take a few minutes to re-hydrate them first.

Once the worms were ready I put the pan down to see what my girls thought.... And the results were a resounding two wings up in approval! They went just as crazy for the dried mealworms as they did for the live ones!

Chubby Mealworms provides a quality product, with no fillers like corn, at a wonderful price. I can honestly say I approve just as much as my girls do! On top of a quality product and a great price, Chubby Mealworms is dedicated to offering great service and delivery. My mealworms arrived very fast and are in a wonderful resealable package, great for storing! Chubby Mealworms is starting to make me wonder if mealworm farming is really all it is cracked up to be when their product is so convenient!

You can purchase mealworms in various weights from the Chubby Mealworm site or if you are feeling lucky, throw your name in to win your very on 5 lb bag of dried mealworms! That is a bag of approximately 80,000 mealworms!! Trust me, your chickens will thank you!! Don't have chickens? These are wonderful to feed to wild birds and reptiles too!

Giveaway is open to residents of the US and Canada.

While we can only ask you to visit the Facebook pages associated with this giveaway, please consider hitting like as well. And make sure you thank our wonderful sponsors for donating such great prizes! Without them, our Spring Fling Giveaway event would not be possible, and I know it would make their day to hear from you!
